Clearwater County, Minn., Starts E-Recording with Simplifile

E-Recording with Simplifile cuts the wait time for returned documents down to hours or minutes, in comparison to waiting several days or weeks.

CLEARWATER COUNTY, Minn. (PRWEB) October 18, 2013

Simplifile, the nation’s largest electronic recording (e-recording) service provider, is now providing e-recording in Clearwater County, Minn., enabling the county’s customers to submit land documents for recording electronically for faster, more efficient recording.

“We are excited to expand e-recording in Minnesota, and we look forward to serving Clearwater County and its recording customers in this capacity,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile.

E-Recording is the process of recording documents via the Internet that would otherwise be sent by express mail, runner, or courier service. Customers including title companies, banks, attorneys, lien filers, and others who submit land documents to Clearwater County Recorder Brenda Knable’s office will be able to do so more quickly and conveniently from their computer.

“With a few mouse clicks, Simplifile customers are able to have their documents submitted to the county for recording, where documents are quickly reviewed, stamped, recorded, and returned back to them,” Clifford said. “E-Recording with Simplifile cuts the wait time for returned documents down to hours or minutes, in comparison to waiting several days or weeks.”

Other benefits of e-recording include savings on postage, fuel, paper, and check-writing expenses, as recording fees are able to be processed via ACH, or Automated Clearing House.

Clearwater is the 59th Minnesota county to implement Simplifile’s e-recording technology.
