Missouri Expands Simplifile E-recording in Cooper County

E-recording saves time and money for our customers.

Cooper County has implemented e-recording of documents through Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service, providing customers with a faster, more cost-effective document recording option online.

“We decided to start e-recording to provide a convenience to our customers,” said Cooper County Circuit Clerk Nancy Fisher. “E-recording saves time and money for our customers.”

Instead of having to drive to the clerk’s office or send documents by mail, runner, or courier service, customers such as title companies, banks and attorneys will be able to quickly send documents to the clerk’s office through Simplifile’s web-based service.

Once the documents are received electronically at the county, they are reviewed, stamped, recorded and returned back to the submitter through Simplifile in minutes.

“We’re happy to be working with Cooper County and providing this easy-to-use service that is becoming widely adopted throughout the state of Missouri and across the nation,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “It’s the fastest, most reliable way to record documents with the county.”

According to Fisher, the county is currently accepting warranty deeds, deeds of trust, releases, and assignments for e-recording.

Recording fees and payments can also be processed securely through Simplifile, helping to reduce payment errors.

Cooper County is the 63rd Missouri county to adopt Simplifile’s e-recording service, joining more than 1,260 e-recording counties nationwide.
