Cross County, Ark., Begins E-recording with Simplifile
CROSS COUNTY, Ark. (PRWEB) May 23, 2014 -- Electronic recording (e-recording) is now available in Cross County, Ark., through Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service, providing document submitters with an affordable, online recording solution.
E-recording is the process of recording documents such as deeds and mortgages via the Internet that would otherwise be sent by express mail or courier service. With Simplifile’s web-based service, customers can securely log in to Simplifile online, scan and upload, or prepare documents for recording electronically, and quickly submit them to Cross County Circuit Clerk’s office.
In minutes, the clerk’s office receives, reviews, stamps, records, and returns the documents back to the submitter through Simplifile, eliminating paper waste, postage, and other recording costs.
“The benefits of e-recording for both the county and their customers are huge,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “E-recording provides a faster, more efficient way to record documents in Cross County, and we know customers are excited that the clerk’s office has made this technology available. It saves money and significantly speeds up the turnaround time for recorded documents.”
Recording customers range from title companies and real estate attorneys to lien filers and banks.
With the addition of Cross County, the state of Arkansas now has 14 counties that offer e-recording through Simplifile.
High-speed Internet access, a PC, and a scanner are the minimum requirements for document submitters to be able to start e-recording with Simplifile.
