Georgia Expands E-recording in Fannin and Upson Counties

Fannin and Upson Counties in Georgia Now Offer E-recording Through Simplifile

There’s no steep learning curve to transition to e-recording, and best of all, it helps save time and money for both the counties’ and their customers.

Land records in Fannin and Upson counties can now be processed electronically through Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service, providing a faster, more efficient recording method for the counties’ local and national submitters.

With e-recording available, title companies, banks, attorneys, lien filers and other document submitters will be able to electronically prepare, scan, or upload documents and submit them for recording through Simplifile’s secure, online service in minutes.

E-recorded documents also result in in less overall paper waste and mailing expenses for the counties and their customers.

“E-recording continues to become more widely adopted in the South, and we are thrilled to be able to offer our e-recording service in two additional Georgia counties,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “There’s no steep learning curve to transition to e-recording, and best of all, it helps save time and money for both the counties’ and their customers.”

Recording fees and payments can be processed securely through Simplifile’s e-recording service using ACH, or electronic funds transfer, eliminating the need to write and mail checks to the county and reducing payment errors that can delay recording.

With the addition of Fannin and Upson counties, the state of Georgia now has a total of 19 counties that have adopted Simplifile’s e-recording service, joining more than 1,180 recording jurisdictions nationwide that e-record with Simplifile.

High-speed Internet access, a PC, and a scanner are the minimum requirements for customers to begin e-recording with Simplifile.
