Barron County, WI (PRWEB) February 03, 2014
Electronic recording (e-recording) of land documents is now available in Barron County, Wis., enabling the county’s recording customers to more quickly and cost-effectively submit documents for recording using Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service provider.
“We pride ourselves in keeping up with the latest technology and providing quality service,” said Barron County Register of Deeds Margo Katterhagen. “E-Recordings are quick and painless compared to paper documents. When we receive notification that our system has received an e-recording, we can review it, record it, and send it back within minutes. If there is a problem with the recording, the client gets it back immediately, and in most cases, the document is corrected and returned for recording within that same business day.”
Instead of having to submit documents by express mail, courier service, or driving to the register’s office, customers can simply log in to Simplifile’s online service from their office computer and quickly submit their documents. Customers include title companies, banks, attorneys, and all other organizations who record documents with Barron County.
“I’m hoping to get the word out that Barron County is accepting e-recordings and show other clients how they, too, could be saving money on unnecessary overnight fees,” Katterhagen said.
In addition to the cost savings, e-recording with Simplifile also helps to eliminate paper waste, increase document security, and improve overall office efficiency.
Katterhagen shared that she has been pleased with Simplifile’s support services and that her questions and concerns have been taken care of with “high-priority service.”
Barron County is currently accepting a wide variety of document types for e-recording including deeds, mortgages, and assignments.
With the addition of Barron County, Simplifile’s e-recording service is now available in 38 Wisconsin counties and more than 1,000 recording jurisdictions nationwide.
