North Carolina Expands Simplifile E-Recording in Craven and Halifax Counties
CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (PRWEB) March 20, 2014 -- Two more North Carolina recording jurisdictions, Craven and Halifax counties, have implemented electronic recording (e-recording) of land documents with Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service, providing the counties’ recording customers with faster, more cost-effective recording.
With the option to e-record, customers including title companies, banks, attorneys, and other organizations that submit documents for recording to Craven and Halifax counties can now submit documents online through Simplifile’s service, eliminating costly mailing and paper expenses.
“Recording customers no longer have to wait for the mail, travel to the county, or stand in line to have their documents recorded,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “When customers e-record, they retain control of their original documents and are able to have their documents recorded electronically in a matter of minutes. It’s more efficient and saves money for both the counties receiving the documents and the submitters.”
Fewer rejected documents and fewer payment errors also come as a result of e-recording. Instead of writing and mailing checks for recording fees, payments are also processed electronically through Simplifile’s secure, web-based service via Automated Clearing House.
With the addition of e-recording in Craven and Halifax counties, North Carolina now has 29 counties e-recording with Simplifile.
Simplifile offers free training and 24/7 customer support for all e-recording users. For more information about e-recording in Craven or Halifax counties, call 800-460-5657 or visit simplifile.com.
