E-recording is a win-win for the clerks’ offices and for their customers, streamlining the recording process and eliminating paper and mailing expenses.
CITY OF MERIDEN, Conn. (PRWEB) August 07, 2014
The City of Meriden and the towns of East Hartford and Woodbridge are the most recent Connecticut recording jurisdictions to make Simplifile’s electronic recording (e-recording) service available.
With e-recording in place, recording customers such as title companies, banks, attorneys, and lien filers will be able to submit documents for recording online through Simplifile and have them recorded and returned in minutes.
“E-recording is a win-win for the clerks’ offices and for their customers, streamlining the recording process and eliminating paper and mailing expenses,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “It gives customers a secure, convenient way to submit their documents and payments for recording fees electronically, and it’s a very easy-to-use service.”
High-speed Internet access, a PC, and a scanner are the minimum requirements for customers to begin e-recording with Simplifile.
With the addition of e-recording in the City of Meriden, the Town of East Hartford, and the Town of Woodbridge, there are now 20 recording jurisdictions in Connecticut e-recording with Simplifile.
Nationwide, more than 1,100 counties and recording jurisdictions have also implemented Simplifile’s e-recording service, helping customers save time and money on document recording.
