New York Expands E-Recording with Simplifile in Nassau County and Saratoga County

The difference in time and money saved by e-recording versus mailing documents or walking them into the courthouse is huge.

NASSAU COUNTY, N.Y. (PRWEB) August 29, 2013

New York is steadily growing its number of electronic recording (e-recording) jurisdictions with the help of e-recording service vendor Simplifile, adding both Nassau and Saratoga counties this month.

E-Recording enables customers including title companies, banks, attorneys, and lien filers, for example, to record public documents via the Internet, providing a more cost-effective and time-saving option than the traditional paper document recording method through the mail or a courier service.

“Our national submitters as well as local New York submitters have been waiting for this announcement to have the option to e-record in Nassau County and Saratoga County,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “The difference in time and money saved by e-recording versus mailing documents or walking them into the courthouse is huge. With customers having the ability to record their documents from the convenience of their office, and not having to worry about originals getting lost, stolen, or delayed in the mail, it’s easy to see why Simplifile’s e-recording service is becoming so widely adopted throughout the nation.”

E-Recording also helps to reduce payment errors and document rejections by automating and simplifying the recording document workflow at both the submitter and county level.

With the addition of both Nassau County, the sixth largest New York county by population, and Saratoga County, the state of New York now has 10 e-recording-capable jurisdictions.

Simplifile currently has the largest e-recording network, with 950 counties nationwide that are actively using and promoting the “paperless” recording method to their customers.

“We know how important it is to our customers to be able to e-record in as many counties as possible, so our efforts continue to focus on educating and working with counties throughout the nation to experience the benefits that come with e-recording,” Clifford said.
