We decided to e-record for the convenience to our customers. It is important to keep up to date with technology in today’s ever-changing world.
TOOLE COUNTY, Mont. (PRWEB) November 22, 2013
Montana has added its 33rd electronic recording (e-recording) jurisdiction, Toole County, offering customers an expedited, paperless option to submit land documents for recording through Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service provider.
“We decided to e-record for the convenience to our customers. It is important to keep up to date with technology in today’s ever-changing world,” said Toole County Clerk Treva Nelson.
E-Recording will provide Toole County recording customers with an additional option for submitting documents to the clerk’s office.
“The process will benefit our out-of-town and out-of-state customers the most,” Nelson said. “The clerk and recorder’s office will save money and time by not having to return original documents or return documents that are not recordable.”
With Simplifile’s online service, customers such as title companies, banks, attorneys, and lien filers will be able to submit their documents for recording electronically via the Internet where they are stamped, recorded, and returned back to the customer usually within a few hours or minutes through Simplifile; this method is significantly faster than submitting paper documents by mail or courier service.
“The Simplifile program is very user-friendly and the staff has been pleasant to work with,” Nelson added.
Toole County is the 33rd Montana county to begin e-recording, joining more than half of the state and nearly 1,000 counties in total throughout the nation that e-record with Simplifile.
