It benefits everyone, not just the customer. We can return the document quickly and if we have a problem and reject the document, it is a quick fix without the lapse of mail time.
UINTAH COUNTY, Utah (PRWEB) October 28, 2015
Uintah County is now accepting electronic documents for recording through Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service, providing document submitters with a faster, more cost-effective recording method online.
“We started to e-record to help speed up the process and to help with out-of-state recordings,” said Uintah County Recorder Brenda McDonald. “It benefits everyone, not just the customer. We can return the document quickly and if we have a problem and reject the document, it is a quick fix without the lapse of mail time.”
Using Simplifile’s secure, web-based service, customers ranging from title companies to banks, attorneys, and lien filers, have the ability to scan or upload and submit documents directly to the recorder’s office where they are reviewed, stamped, recorded, and returned electronically in minutes.
“So far we have had great success with e-filing,” McDonald said. “I am hoping that most of our recordings will come through Simplifile this next year. It cuts down on our mail returns and we don't have the worry of returning documents to the proper sender.”
Recording fees and payments can also be processed securely through Simplifile, helping to reduce payment errors and eliminate check-writing expenses.
“We’re happy to be working with another local county here in Utah and to see more and more people embrace e-recording every day. It’s the fastest, most convenient, and secure way to submit documents for recording,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile.
Uintah County is the 21st county in Utah to make Simplifile’s e-recording service available to customers, joining more than 1,300 counties nationwide that also e-record with Simplifile.
High-speed Internet access, a PC, and a scanner are the minimum requirements for customers to begin e-recording with Simplifile.
