Massachusetts Expands Simplifile E-recording in Worcester South and Berkshire South
WORCESTER, Mass. (PRWEB) August 01, 2014 -- Two more Massachusetts counties—Berkshire South and Worcester South—have adopted electronic recording (e-recording) of land records with Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service provider.
With Simplifile’s e-recording service available, organizations such as title companies, banks, attorneys, and lien filers will be able to submit documents to the counties via the Internet and have them recorded and returned in minutes.
“We started electronic recording to assist our customers, providing them with another option to record their documents that would be more efficient and possibly more cost effective than submitting the documents by mail,” said Southern Berkshire Register of Deeds Wanda Beckwith. “We have only been recording with Simplifile for a couple of weeks and everything has gone smoothly.”
Recording fees and payments can also be processed securely through Simplifile, reducing check-writing expenses, payment errors and other potential delays in the recording process.
“We’re excited to see e-recording grow in the state of Massachusetts, as it helps users save time, money, and have their time-sensitive documents recorded much more quickly,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile.
High-speed Internet access, a PC, and a scanner are the minimum requirements for customers to begin e-recording with Simplifile.
There are now 18 Massachusetts recording jurisdictions that have made Simplifile’s e-recording service available to customers, joining more than 1,100 other recording jurisdictions e-recording with Simplifile nationwide.
