Kids Will Love to Do Their Chores after Reading They're Waiting For Me, a Delightful New Book from Hot New Author/Illustrator Ernie Harker
Draper, Utah (PRWEB) August 08, 2013 -- Author Ernie Harker grew up in a rural area of Idaho. Their family of 11 lived on an acre with a large garden, a barn, and a small pasture to keep various livestock. Every Saturday morning, he and his eight brothers were required to do their chores. Like most children, his brothers including himself hated doing their chores, but as they become adults, they appreciate the strong work ethic these chores instilled in them.
They're Waiting For Me is a colorful and charmingly illustrated picture book written by the author as a preventive measure to break the cycle of avoiding household chores which his children inherited from him. This book tells the story of a little girl who wakes up on Saturday morning with a terrible attitude about doing her weekly chores.
These chores are represented as creepy flying fairies such as Pick-up-your-toys, Bring-down-the-laundry, Make-your-bed, Take-out-the-trash and Feed-the-cat who all bore her and annoy her. She tries several things to get rid of them only to discover that no matter what she tries to do, they never go away. Will her excuses still work?
They're Waiting For Me is a fun read that will teach children the value of a strong work ethic and a better attitude towards responsibilities and accountabilities at an early age. This story will demonstrate how chores are easy to do and that it’s better to do it rather than coming up with the same old excuses just to avoid them.
