Kent, WA (PRWEB) January 28, 2014

Transformative Wave, developer of the CATALYST, North America’s leading efficiency solution for constant volume HVAC systems, is proud to have been recognized in the E Source E News article naming the top five ‘Game-Changing Technologies from 2013.’ The article points to leading third-party studies that verified savings and demonstrated that these products – especially the CATALYST – are ready for prime time”. E Source provides unbiased research for utilities and corporations.

“One of our specialties is reviewing the research about vendor claims to determine whether particular technologies can actually deliver on the energy-saving claims they promote,” says Spencer Sator, Product Manager for the E Source Technology Assessment Service. “Based on the demonstrated energy savings and generally favorable payback, we believe the CATALYST is now a viable option for utilities to consider for inclusion in incentive programs.”

In its full research report, Top 20 Technologies and Trends of 2013, E Source named the CATALYST as a top pick partly based on recent positive research findings by the Department of Energy (DOE) through the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) and San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E). The DOE-commissioned study reported that 66 RTUs retrofitted with the CATALYST across four climate zones yielded an average savings of 57% in normalized HVAC energy use. The SDG&E study also showed positive results and provided additional credibility to the energy saving potential of the CATALYST.

Danny Miller, President of Transformative Wave comments; “I don’t know of a more respected organization in the efficiency industry than E Source. They have been tracking our CATALYST technology for several years when there was understandable skepticism about our ability to deliver the results we were claiming. E Source is clearly committed to providing its clients with recommendations based on supportive evidence, not anecdotal stories. With that in mind, it is a real honor for us to be included on this list, and even more so to have be named number one.”
