San Leandro, CA (PRWEB) August 17, 2016
Type A Machines®, the market leader in manufacturing-ready Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) 3D printers, today announced the availability of two new materials designed to bring ease of printing, consistency, value, and durability to 3D prints. The two new materials, EverydayPLA™, and PerformancePLA™ are in partnership with filament manufacturers 3DomFuel, and Breathe-3DP, respectively. EverydayPLA, and PerformancePLA join the company’s recently introduced, and groundbreaking, ProMatte™ filament - a sandable, matte finish filament, 30% lighter than traditional PLA.
“Delivering a 3D printing experience comprised of hardware, software, and materials, all tuned to work together, is critical to meeting our customers’ needs,” said Tim Holmes, Chief Strategy Officer for Type A Machines. “EverydayPLA, and PerformancePLA provide our customers choices in filament that deliver solid, reliable results and we stand behind that.”
EverydayPLA, by Type A Machines, was designed to meet the needs of discerning customers within the prototyping, educational, and additive manufacturing marketplace. EverydayPLA is easy to print with, low odor, doesn’t require a heated bed, and produces a rich, beautiful finish. EverydayPLA brings a high-level of material quality, consistency, and value to PLA, one of the most popular FFF/FDM 3D printing materials. It is formulated for ease of extrusion, good bed-adhesion, low-warpage, and to deliver color and diameter consistency from batch to batch.
EverydayPLA is available immediately on the Type A Machines store in six colors, including, Blue, Black, White, Gray, Orange, and Yellow. The retail price is $32USD per 1KG spool.
PerformancePLA, by Type A Machines, is a 3D printing filament primarily focused on uses where durability is desired, such as in final part production. PerformancePLA has significantly higher impact strength and is considerably less brittle than standard PLA. PerformancePLA resists warping and curling.
PerformancePLA is available immediately on the Type A Machines Store in six colors, including, Black, White, Gray, Red, Green, and Orange. The retail price is $56USD per 1KG spool.
The company is also announcing the release of Cura Type A 1.5, featuring material profiles for printing with 78 different types of filament on the company’s Series 1 3D printer.
Cura Type A 1.5 was made available as a public beta on March 18th, 2016, at which time Type A Machines introduced “Absolute Measurements”, a new infill paradigm for 3D printing, as well as the industry’s first true 3D infill allowing engineers significantly more control over a part’s overall mechanical characteristics.
