National Cybersecurity Institute at Excelsior College hosts NSA Day of Cyber on January 28
Washington, DC (PRWEB) January 14, 2016 -- The National Cybersecurity Institute (NCI) at Excelsior College today announced a collaboration with the NSA Day of Cyber, a nationwide effort to raise awareness of cyber issues and encourage students to pursue STEM-related careers.
Excelsior College’s Day of Cyber, to be held on January 28 in recognition of “Data Privacy Day,” affords learners the opportunity to experience a day in the life of numerous National Security Agency (NSA) cybersecurity personnel. Learners will be allowed to take a virtual seat beside skilled NSA personnel in the NSA Cyber Threat Center and help solve challenging real-life cyber scenarios. These experiences are intended to inspire students to pursue an educational pathway leading to cyber careers. At the conclusion of the program, learners will be awarded both a personalized Cyber Resume, which summarizes their unique experiences, as well as provided detailed course guidelines for Excelsior College cyber degree programs.

Education is a major key providing skilled employees in the years.”
The National Cybersecurity Institute at Excelsior College, based in Washington DC, is an academic and research center based in Washington, DC dedicated to assisting government, industry, military, and academic sectors meet the challenges in cyber security policy, technology, and education. Excelsior College also offers a variety of cybersecurity programs at the bachelor and graduate level, several which are aligned with the academic requirements for cyber operations set by the NSA. Excelsior has been designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education, a recognition which extends through 2019, by the NSA and the Department of Homeland Security.
