Internationally Regarded Expert in Experiential Learning for Professional Development Comes to Columbus
Ashland, Ohio (PRWEB) May 09, 2017 -- On Thursday, May 25, 2017, internationally regarded expert, Ginny Telego, will be coming to Columbus, OH to share her knowledge about how collaborating with horses can be utilized for professional development. This unique form of experiential learning, known as Equine Assisted Learning, has been shown to be highly effective at achieving lasting and positive change in organizations. Those interested in experiencing how this model of professional development can transform their organization can attend a no-cost demonstration workshop from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Austin E. Knowlton Center for Equine Science at Otterbein University, 600 N. Spring Road, Westerville.
Ginny is the founder and president of Wager’s Way Equine Assisted Action Learning based in Ashland, Ohio, and a Master Trainer for the Equine Experiential Education Association (E3A). Her company provides hands-on learning experiences where horses are the catalyst that help program participants connect the dots between what they’ve learned through personal assessments and classroom discussions and how that knowledge parallels to the way they relate in the workplace. According to Telego, “Because horses are herd animals, they are quick to assess a participant’s intentions and provide them with immediate, nonjudgmental feedback about the effectiveness of their communication and interactions. Learning happens in the moment and is retained long after participants leave the arena. ‘Ah-ha’ moments are frequent and very impacting during a Wager’s Way workshop.”
Ginny has been called upon to share her expertise all over the United States and internationally. She and colleagues Lissa Pohl, owner of In Good Spirits, LLC, based in Lexington, Kentucky, and Cecile van der Wilden, owner of Pyramid Horsemanship in Wassenaar, The Netherlands, have twice been asked to travel to Qatar to provide equine assisted learning programs focused on developing leadership competencies and effective teams with the Qatar Foundation’s senior managers and directors. Ginny and her team have also worked extensively with community leadership development programs. Wager’s Way leadership and team development programs will now be available in the Columbus area for organizations seeking to enhance collaboration within their teams and empower their leaders.
Those interested in participating in two-hours of leadership and team development for no cost are invited to register for the demonstration workshop by contacting Ginny at 419-651-6854 or via the website http://www.wagersway.com. Participants will be given the opportunity to have hands-on experience learning from the horses while Ginny and her team will demonstrate specialized facilitation techniques used at Wager’s Way to enhance team development, improve leadership and management skills, and expand the effectiveness of workplace communication at all levels.
