JuriLytics and Past DOJ Director to Bring Expert Witness Peer Review to Litigation Attorneys
Bay Area, CA (PRWEB) April 01, 2016 -- Today JuriLytics announced that Grande Lum will be joining the company as a Senior Advisor. Previously, Grande Lum was appointed by President Obama, and confirmed by the Senate in 2012, as the Director of the Community Relations Service (CRS) at the Department of Justice (DOJ). Under his leadership, CRS was deployed in major community conflicts concerning law enforcement and race including the tragedies in Sanford, Florida; Ferguson, Missouri; and Baltimore, Maryland.
JuriLytics provides blind peer reviews of expert witnesses used by litigation attorneys. Legal battles often erupt around technical issues where the parties engage in a “battles of the experts.” These battles often result in poor and costly outcomes, since most judges and juries alike have difficulty deciphering complex technical information from an expert witness. JuriLytics aims to reduce the risk and costs of an expert witness use by exposing faulty analyses earlier. For more information, visit: http://www.jurilytics.com.
“I joined JuriLytics because of the ground floor opportunity to be part of a team of innovators that is ushering in peer review for litigation disputes,” says Lum. “It is exciting to pioneer the use of independent science and technology expertise to revolutionize the settlement of lawsuits.”
Lum joins JuriLytics as a visionary with a track record of innovation in the legal profession and alternative dispute resolution. As Senior Advisor, Lum will help JuriLytics expand expert witness peer review to arbitration contexts, where an increasing number of disputes are adjudicated.
