Dryvit Systems, Inc. is happy that Outsulation, the leading Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS), was chosen for the exterior of the central campus hub for learning and social engagement at Lancaster Bible College. Along with an architectural and construction team, over 40 thousands square feet of exterior wall received an air/water-resistant, durable, aesthetically seamless and sustainable cladding that will save the education center money and withstand the test of time.

On a mission to engage sustainable design on campus, Lancaster Bible College made the commitment to seek environmentally-friendly building practices; not only for environmental stewardship, but to lower energy costs as well.

“Today’s students need a modern social hub to exchange in lively discussion, study quietly, and use state-of-the-art technology to learn and share,” said Dr. Peter Teague, president of LBC. “The new Student Learning Commons is vital to LBC’s mission, [as] we strive to provide a complete experience that prepares students for their life journey to serve others.”

As part of the solution to offer a sustainable design for LBC’s Student Learning Commons, the architect turned to Dryvit. Outsulation Plus MD met today’s energy code requirements, and represented the optimal cladding solution when it came to the initial construction costs, the on-going operational costs, and the increasingly important environmental costs.
