We are particularly excited to share our latest updates, including new native apps for the Mac and iPhone.
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) April 22, 2014
Eyemaginations, the industry leader in patient education software, will present its newest platform at the 2014 American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators (ASCRS-ASOA) Symposium and Congress. The event will run from Friday, April 25th through Tuesday, April 29th, at the Boston Convention Center in Boston, MA.
“We first launched ECHO, our cloud-based patient education platform, at the ASCRS meeting last year, so we are particularly excited to share our latest updates, including new native applications for the Mac and the iPhone,” said Smitha Gopal, Chief Executive Officer of Eyemaginations. Demonstrations of ECHO will occur at the Eyemaginations booth, #141, located right at the entrance of the hall.
In the year since its launch, many practices have successfully utilized ECHO to explain procedures and treatments to patients, improve workflow and promote their online presence. One of the best examples of how ECHO supports ophthalmic practices is illustrated by Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center.
The doctors at Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center didn’t want to use narrated videos to educate their patients about cataract surgery and the available lens implant options. They felt that an interactive approach with their surgical coordinators was the best way to communicate this information. Eyemaginations introduced them to ECHO's interactive slideshow presentations, which combine Powerpoint functionality with a vast media library. Because ECHO is cloud-based, BDPEC staff were able to share this presentation with every surgical coordinator, ensuring delivery of a consistent presentation that’s more effective and efficient than Powerpoint or traditional narrated videos. By combining the right message with compelling visuals that help older patients understand difficult concepts, ECHO was instrumental in achieving an immediate 35% increase in revenues from Advanced Technology, a sustainable number that continues to grow.
Added Mark Rosenberg, Chief Executive Officer, “Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center has been a client of Eyemaginations almost since its inception. We are constantly impressed by how frequently they update and develop successful platforms for patient education. Our recent project with them used digital assets from ECHO to create an entirely new approach for counseling patients for Advanced Technology offerings. This was a true collaboration resulting in a very creative and successful solution.”
At ASCRS, Eyemaginations plans to share best practices gleaned from Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center and hundreds of other practices that have successfully implemented ECHO over the past year. Brad Sopher, Co-Founder and VP of Customer Experience, will be offering concise presentations at the meeting on a variety of topics:
- Increasing Premium IOL Conversions - Saturday, April 26th at 12pm and 2:30pm
- Successfully Introducing Refractive Cataract Surgery - Sunday, April 27th at 9:30am, 1pm and 3pm
- Reactivating Lost Patients - Monday, April 28th at 9:30am, 1pm and 3pm
Each session will include a short, informative presentation with plenty of time for questions, but space is limited, so interested participants are asked to register in advance here.
