Business owners and social media guru's from the Inland Northwest flocked to the Facebook for business meetup last week February 20th. Bess Yount and Tasha Zuzalek from Facebook hosted this free event to help show how small businesses how Facebook can be a smart way to promote your business locally and nationally.
Facebook asked Travis Romine, owner of Paradise Fibers to attend the event as a panel member and share some Facebook insights. Paradise has been using Facebook since 1998 to help build a stronger connection with its customers with over 27,600 likes on the Paradise Fibers Facebook page.

Don't spam your customers with offers. Use Facebook to build a quality relationship with them that has value. It's really not a tactic, it's a way of treating and respecting your customers," said Travis Romine from Paradise Fibers who was a panel member during the Q&A session.
Many small businesses are missing out on this inexpensive tool that is really great for promoting locally. Facebook now allows a host of ways to target local customers like few channels can. Local businesses can setup a page, customize it with a few photos and start promoting it the same day. At the base level Facebook for business newbies can post images of their retail-wares, some helpful tips, and encourage customers to Check-In on Facebook physically at their shop.
The Facebook for business team introduced some quick ways to easily promote through Facebook on a budget. Businesses can now create events and promote them to highly targeted demographics for a fraction of traditional media costs with incredible return on investment.
One of the key features allows businesses to promote Facebook Offers. Facebook offers reward customers with a coupon when physically "Checking In" on Facebook when at their shop. When customers "Check In", the business is referenced in their Facebook feed for all their friends to see.
