OSHA’s Preliminary 2015 List of Top 10 Safety Violations Spotlighted by the OSHA Training Center at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District
Dublin, CA (PRWEB) October 27, 2015 -- The OSHA Training Center at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is shining a spotlight on OSHA’s preliminary list of the top 10 most frequently cited workplace safety violations for fiscal year 2015 to draw attention to the consistent pattern of recurring citations over the last several years. While the ranking of categories has shown minor variations from year to year, the consistency of top 10 categories has remained almost constant for at least the last six years.
“Fall protection remains the most frequently cited safety category, with the number of violations already exceeding 2014 by over 9%,” said Cari Elofson, Assistant Director of the OSHA Training Center at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District. “The consistency of top 10 categories, including hazard communication, scaffolding, respiratory protection and electrical, gives employers, workers and safety professionals a clear road map of where to focus their attention to raise hazard awareness and provide more effective workplace safety training.
