Farm Credit Announces Dates of Annual Stockholder Meetings
WESTMINSTER, Md. (PRWEB) March 12, 2019 -- MidAtlantic Farm Credit has announced the dates of their annual stockholder meetings. The meetings will be taking place on: April 2 at the Thurmont Event Complex in Thurmont, Maryland; April 3 at Yoder’s Restaurant in New Holland, Pennsylvania; and April 4 at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover, Delaware.
Each spring, MidAtlantic Farm Credit hosts their stockholder meetings, providing an opportunity for customers, staff members, legislators, and industry representatives to come together and learn about the association. The meetings begin at 5:45pm with a networking social hour. The dinner will be served at 6:45pm, followed by a short business meeting, giving an update on Farm Credit’s financials and plans for the year ahead.
“Our stockholder meetings provide an opportunity for all who are a part of our community – members, employees, directors, and supporters – to meet and discuss topics of interest to them and our industry,” says Tom Truitt, CEO of MidAtlantic Farm Credit. “In over 100 years of supporting rural America, we have navigated industry changes alongside our borrowers through the good and bad. This past year was a challenging one for many, but one thing that will remain consistent is our cooperative values and unwavering support for our members.”
In addition to learning about the business aspects of the association, the Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement also gives an overview of their year, and announces the recipients of their $10,000 student scholarships, helping those looking to pursue a career in agriculture achieve their academic goals. “The Foundation’s mission, to help further the education of those looking to make an impact on the future of agriculture, is something we are immensely proud of, and enjoy sharing with those who attend our annual stockholder meetings,” says Truitt.
All who attend will have the chance to enter to win a custom-wrapped John Deere Gator XUV 560 Crossover Utility Vehicle, along with opportunity to win some other raffle prizes, including a handmade quilt, Yeti cooler, and an iPad Mini.
