National Fatherhood Initiative Launches New Fatherhood.org
Germantown, MD (PRWEB) February 27, 2014 -- National Fatherhood Initiative has launched a new website, http://www.fatherhood.org, that highlights its role as the nation’s #1 provider of fatherhood skill-building resources, the #1 trainer of practitioners delivering fatherhood programs, and the nation’s voice for responsible fatherhood.
The site is organized to meet the needs of organizations serving families and fathers in the community-based, corrections, military, and state and local agency settings, and to individual dads seeking information to support NFI’s mission and improve their fathering.
For organizations providing direct services to fathers and families, the website allows them to quickly access the information, tools, and resources they need to initiate or bolster a fatherhood service or program. The site shows them how NFI’s knowledge, resources, and training help organizations address the challenges they face in their communities -- such as poverty and crime -- and directs them to specific NFI solutions that address those challenges.
For dads and moms, the site provides information on parenting and ways to get involved in NFI’s mission of connecting fathers to their children, heart to heart, and mobilizing their community for change.
The technology behind the website, the new Content Optimization System from Hubspot, gives users a personalized experience that provides them with the most relevant information based on their past behaviors on the site. For example, if a dad downloads an ebook on disciplining his children, the next time he logs onto the site, the automated process will suggest another ebook download that may interest him.
Christopher Brown, NFI’s president, said, “NFI’s new website reflects a shift in our focus over the last several years. Today, the core of NFI’s work is to help practitioners across all sectors of society offer research- and evidence-based programs and solutions to the fathers in their communities. Moreover, NFI’s public education efforts today are conducted largely through Web 2.0 tools such as blogging and social media. The new website makes these efforts more accessible and user friendly, allowing us to influence the public dialogue on fatherhood and reach even more dads.”
As the premier fatherhood renewal organization in the country, National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI), founded in 1994, works in every sector and at every level of society to “create a world where every child has a 247 Dad℠.” NFI is the #1 provider of fatherhood resources in the nation. Since 2004, through FatherSOURCE™, its national resource center, NFI has distributed over 6.6 million resources, and has trained over 13,400 practitioners from over 6,200 organizations on how to deliver programs to dads. NFI is also the most quoted authority on fatherhood in America. Since 2009, NFI has been mentioned in over 3,500 news stories, and makes regular appearances in national media to discuss the importance of involved, responsible, and committed fatherhood.
