About the Author
Fayette B. Nick, EdD, is an independent education consultant. She has served in a number of leadership positions. She is a graduate of Cainhoy School in Huger, South Carolina. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Austin Peay State University, a master of science in education with add-on in special education and school administration from Jacksonville State University, Alabama, a specialist degree in educational administration from Jacksonville State University, Alabama, and a doctorate in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University. She has served as interim superintendent, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, chief executive officer of a charter school, director of exceptional children, principal, assistant principal, special education master teacher, and special education department chair. She is a member of several professional organizations, including South Carolina Association of School Administrator (SCASA). Her experiences as a staff developer include association with South Carolina’s school districts and charter schools.
