FC Construction Services Awarded DART Cotton Belt Regional Rail Corridor Project
DALLAS (PRWEB) February 27, 2019 -- FC Construction Services has been chosen for the DART Cotton Belt Rail Corridor project providing Background, Screening Testing, and RFID-Badging for the 24 to 36-month long project.
The 26-mile Cotton Belt track will join seven cities across North Texas – Grapevine, Coppell, Dallas, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson and Plano – and connect to the Orange, Green, and Red lines, as well as DART’s TEXRail. Design work is set to begin early in 2019 and is expected to take six to eight months to complete. Construction will follow soon afterward, starting with utility relocation and foundation work for bridges.
The Cotton Belt Project’s primary purpose is to provide passenger rail connections and service that will improve mobility, accessibility and system linkages to major employment, population and activity centers in the northern part of the DART Service Area.
“We are proud to be part of this important project that will make transportation in North Texas so much easier,” noted Melanie Laird, Executive Vice President, Construction Services, FC Construction Services.
