Our website reflects our goal of making sure federal employees understand their rights and their options when an injury or illness prevents them from working.
Lexington, KY (PRWEB) August 28, 2014
Harris Federal Law Firm has launched a new website that is aimed at educating federal workers about their rights if they suffer injuries that prevent them from being able to work.
The site, FederalDisability.com, reflects the firm’s decades of combined experience with helping federal employees, including U.S. Postal Service workers, to seek federal disability retirement, workers’ compensation and other benefits.
“We chose to concentrate in this area of the law several years ago when we helped a family friend – a U.S. Postal Service letter carrier – with his claim for disability retirement benefits,” Bo Harris said. “We realized that not many federal employees know about their rights to collect benefits when they are hurt or know who they can turn to for help.”
“Our website reflects our goal of making sure federal employees understand their rights and their options when an injury or illness prevents them from working,” he said. “Our hope is that visitors find our site to be helpful and informative.”
The centerpiece of the website is an extensive video library. Several members of the firm give presentations in the videos, which cover topics such as “Federal Disability Retirement Myths.”
The website also features a regularly updated blog that discusses current issues that impact federal workers and reports on the latest news about the firm.
“The reality is the federal government doesn’t always do the best job of explaining benefits to its employees, which makes it important for employees to work with a professional who can help them to understand the steps they can take to collect the benefits they have earned and deserve,” Harris said.
