FEI Announces Partnership with UWM SCE
MILWAUKEE (PRWEB) October 02, 2018 -- FEI Behavioral Health, a social enterprise with a 40-year history and a leader in workforce resilience from EAP and organizational development to workplace violence prevention and crisis management, has partnered with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) School of Continuing Education (SCE).
The collaboration enhances both the UWM SCE Human Services professional development program and FEI’s national network of employee assistance program (EAP) affiliate providers.
“FEI strives to provide our national provider network with opportunities to strengthen and grow their skills,” explains Ted Uczen, FEI President and CEO. “In doing so, we’ve supported thousands of providers across the country and created a strong and highly credentialed network.”
Mental health clinicians within FEI’s national network of affiliate providers have the opportunity to register for a wealth of courses within the UWM SCE Human Services program catalog.
FEI affiliates can earn course credit and UWM certificates in program areas such as:
• Trauma Counseling
• Family Mediation
• EMDR Therapy Basic Training
• Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
Courses within these certificate areas are approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) and earn clinicians continuing education (CE), continuing education units (CEUs) and continuing education hours (CEH) that fulfill requirements for licensure renewal.
As part of the partnership, UWM SCE offers FEI affiliates discounts on registration fees.
“FEI prides itself on being an educational resource for behavioral healthcare providers across the country,” shares Uczen. “Partnering with a fellow downtown Milwaukee neighbor like UWM not only allows us the ability to strengthen our national EAP network, ultimately creating better service for our customers and their employees, but also creates an opportunity to further invest in our community, and the communities of our customers.”
“UWM is committed to leading change, developing careers and increasing the value of human service workers,” says Angela Kelber, director of community and professional development, UWM School of Continuing Education. “We are excited to extend our commitment to lifelong learning by enhancing the capacity of FEI’s elite, national network of clinicians.”
