Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, Inc. announces a visit, tour, and demonstration for the International Education Leadership Program of the Perkins School for the Blind of Watertown, Mass.

International visitors from countries such as: Ghana, Uganda, Israel, Argentina, Russia, Turkey, China, India, Thailand and Vietnam will be visiting the Bloomfield Campus on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. – 103 Vision Way Bloomfield, Conn.

Perkins International Program recognizes that every day millions of children with visual impairment around the world are denied the education they need to unlock their full potential. Perkins International works to break the isolation and neglect these children face, transforming their futures through the power of learning.

They are global leaders in the education of children with visual impairment and multiple disabilities, including deaf-blindness. Their mission is to ensure that all undeserved children and young adults with visual impairment receive a high-quality education that enriches their lives and prepares them for an active role in their families, schools and communities.

Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation is an internationally accredited nonprofit guide dog organization and respected expert throughout the world. Fidelco Guide Dogs’ life-changing mission of providing men and women who are blind or visually impaired with our German Shepherd guide dogs, thus providing our clients with increased independence and mobility and unlocking limitless potential.

Media will have access to ask questions of Fidelco Guide Dog staff, Perkins International Students; Observe and Film actual blindfold walks; observe and film the next generation of Fidelco Guide Dogs Puppies (age: 6 weeks); and participate in a campus tour. Start time is 11:00am in the Board Room of the Bloomfield Campus.
