Banc Intranets LLC, a Johnson City, Tenn.-based provider of enterprise content management solutions, has expanded its client roster to include BankFirst Financial Services of Columbus, Miss. Banc Intranets will implement its flagship employee intranet product: BancWorks.

BancWorks is a user-friendly solution that will allow BankFirst Financial Services to provide its employees with convenient online access to the latest corporate information. The product, which was created by financial experts specifically for financial institutions, will give the bank a centralized, secure location to present the company’s information. Employees of the bank will be able to log on and view company policies, product-related details, news announcements and other important information.

The installation of BancWorks will help support BankFirst’s ongoing mission to provide its customers with a better way to bank, said Josh Hailey, BankFirst’s director of technology. “In our 125-year history, we have worked hard to establish outstanding products and services to meet our customers’ needs,” Hailey said. “BancWorks will enable us to enhance our technology and streamline our communications, so our employees can better serve our customers. This, in turn, will allow us to continue building on our success.”

BankFirst was originally established as Merchants and Farmers Bank in Macon, Miss. in 1888. In 1999, the bank changed its name to BankFirst Financial Services in response to its rapid expansion and to express its desire to place the needs of its customers first. Today, the bank operates 12 branches throughout Mississippi, distinguishing itself by its focus on strength, stability and service. BankFirst offers a variety of personal and commercial services, including checking and savings accounts; business and mortgage loans; and online, mobile and text message banking.

Banc Intranets is committed to helping financial institutions like BankFirst enhance their access to information, according to Banc Intranets President and CEO Mark Anderson. “We are excited to show BankFirst the productivity improvements it will experience with the implementation of BancWorks as its employee intranet,” Anderson said.
