fishbat, a leading Long Island web design agency, reviews a new Google Chrome extension, which allows users to check to see when emails were read.
According to a February 21st article posted by Mashable titled “Find Out When That Email You Sent Was Read,“ a new free Google Chrome extension, made by Streak, a San Francisco based startup, is now available for free download. The extension allows users to check to see if their emails were read, and even allows them to see the location the emails were opened in a real-time map. Only the user wishing to track the email needs to have Streak’s Chrome extension installed.
The article says, “Streak was designed for customer relationship management, and also features tools for sales, support, hiring, scheduling emails and sharing emails company-wide.” While Streak is not the first startup to develop this type of extension, the article says it is the first free version that also includes a location map.
Justin Maas, vice president of client relations at leading Long Island web design agency fishbat, says that Streaks extension could end up being an extremely useful tool in the workplace. “Any type of tool that enhances communication is a great asset for businesses,” he says. “There are times when I am unsure if people have received my emails, so a method to find out if they have would be a welcome addition. Often times, important information gets lost in the sauce, which can waste time and money. This will enhance communication and speed up reaction time, which will be great for productivity and synergy.”
