According to the Mashable article titled, “How Fortune 500 Companies Use Instagram to Build Their Brands,” many Fortune 500 companies are starting to incorporate Instagram into their marketing plans. The article says top brands like Nike, Starbucks and Ralph Lauren are using Instagram to promote their brands.

However, the article says one of the most important Instagram features that brands should not be ignoring is the hashtag. The number of “hashtags correlated to the success of the content.” Meaning, sometimes posts with more hashtags garner more engagement. The article also says that Instagram should be used at all times of day, seven days a week in order to remain effective.
