Fit Body Boot Camp, an internationally franchised fitness boot camp, is the fastest-selling fitness business in the country and its popularity, as both a franchise and a place to work out, has continued to grow enormously in 2014.
The company’s annual business conference, the Fit Body Boot Camp World Conference, is taking place in Costa Mesa, CA on September 26 and 27, and is expected to be one of the biggest conferences yet. Founder Bedros Keuilian, who is also considered the leading fitness marketing expert and has acted as consultant to Spike TV, took a few minutes recently to remark on the franchise’s incredible growth.
“We’ve been around for a few years now, so we’re not in our debut year,” says Keuilian. “But factors in the industry and in the marketplace have made 2014 one of our best years yet. Not only are more people signing up to work out with us, but more trainers are signing up to open their own locations.”
According to Keuilian, the atmosphere has been ripe all year, and in several ways.
“As far as a fitness business, Fit Body Boot Camp is a well-known and respected brand, it’s got a very low-cost start-up cost, we give a ton of training and support, have turnkey marketing in place and we don’t charge a percentage of revenue every month like most franchises do.”
Keuilian says that this makes the fitness boot camp much more attractive to entrepreneurs, but also more accessible.
“A lot of the fitness franchises out there act like they’re doing people a favor by taking their money and allowing them to use the name,” says Keuilian. “We know that our franchisees are the backbone of our company and we treat them that way. They’re partners, not tenants.”
Keuilian says that Fit Body Boot Camp appeals to consumers in much the same way.
“Fitness has to be accessible. People are so incredibly busy and they’re not able to make much time to work out,” he explains. “We’re known for giving them a killer fat burning workout in 30 minutes and we do it affordably and make sure our clients know how important they are to us. Each location is more than a fitness boot camp, it’s also a community of people that encourage and support each other.’
Keuilian says that sense of community is a huge draw to both clients and new fitness boot camp owners who want something than just a great place to work out or a way to make a great living.
“I think people are looking for added value beyond results,” says Keuilian. “We deliver great results for both our owners and our clients, but we also deliver the kind of life-changing value that you can’t put a dollar sign on.”
