We believe wholeheartedly in the proven pen-to-paper approach of fitbook, and we wanted to deliver a solution to our customers who need guidance in establishing meaningful and achievable 12-week goals.

fitlosophy, inc., creator of fitbook™ fitness and nutrition journals, announces the launch of their free goal-setting app: fitbook+ lite. Just as fitlosophy's goal-focused and lifestyle-based approach to fitness differs from other programs, the newly launched app is equally as unique. The fitbook+ lite app complements fitlosophy’s line of goal-setting products, including the company’s flagship product, fitbook, which features goal-setting, daily tracking, and journaling – all proven ways to increase accountability and goal realization.
“We believe wholeheartedly in the proven pen-to-paper approach of fitbook, and we wanted to deliver a solution to our customers who need guidance in establishing meaningful and achievable 12-week goals,” says Angela Manzanares, chief fitlosopher and fitness expert. “Our app does just that, while also providing users with a tangible, shareable goal that they can then track progress toward.”
Whether or not the app is used in conjunction with fitbook, fitlosophy's question-based methodology helps users get to the ‘why’ behind their fitness and nutrition and cultivate a personalized 12-week goal. The app takes users through a questionnaire that digs deeper to identify what will motivate them, establishes criteria to measure progress, and features journaling and uploading photos for a highly customized, measurable approach to health. Whether users are looking to lose weight, lower blood pressure, or even train for a race, the app analyzes the resulting goal to determine if it is achievable, realistic, and timely, ensuring users are striving for healthy goals.
In the fitness app world filled with weight loss trackers and calorie-counters, fitlosophy’s objective was to design an app that provided a goal-oriented approach with a tangible deliverable. Upon completion of the goal-setting process, users receive a custom, printer-friendly PDF of their goals. Studies show that sharing goals with others ups the chances of achieving a goal by 76%, so the app encourages social media sharing for added accountability.
The fitbook+ lite goal-setting app is currently available for Android and Apple devices and can be downloaded for free from the app store. fitlosophy plans to launch a paid version of the app, available in summer 2014, which will feature a unique approach to tracking progress to maximize results.
