Dr. Florence Comite is a graduate of Yale School of Medicine; she trained at Yale- New Haven Hospital in Internal Medicine, followed by a multidiscipline fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology that included the study of hormones throughout life in men (Andrology) and women (Gynecology), at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development at NIH. She then returned to Yale to teach on the faculty for 25 years, subsequently appointed Associate Professor in three departments in 1992. Dr. Comite is known for her work in clinical hormone research, and as the founder of Women’s Health at Yale in the early 1990s. She has been published extensively in scientific peer-reviewed literature including the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism among others. Dr. Comite is one of the foremost authorities on healthy aging and has dedicated her efforts to extending the health span for individuals utilizing the emerging field of Precision Medicine for age management. She is a leader in this field that aims to prevent the onset of diabetes, heart attacks, strokes, and cancer by examining specific factors from lifestyle, metabolism and hormones to genetics in order to avert the challenges of aging, while dispelling the myths of anti-aging.
