Dr. Florencia Anatelli joins Phoenix, Arizona division of U.S. Dermatology Partners as a dermatopathologist
PHOENIX, Feb. 4, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Dr. Florencia Anatelli is nationally recognized board-certified in dermatopathology and anatomic pathology from the American Board of Pathology and the American Board of Dermatology. Having received her medical degree from the National University of Rosario, Argentina, Dr. Anatelli completed her residency in anatomic pathology at the prestigious Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Anatelli culminated her formal medical education via her completion of a one-year fellowship in dermatopathology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
Prior to her pathology training, Dr. Anatelli was granted a two-year research fellowship at the renowned Wellman Center for Photomedicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, where she worked alongside world leaders in photodynamic therapy and phototherapy. Dr. Anatelli has also authored and co-authored several scientific works in the fields of dermatology, pathology and phototherapy that have been subsequently published in distinguished scientific journals. She has also presented her research work at different national scientific meetings and her investigations have been nominated for the Stowell-Orbison Award at the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology Annual Meeting.
Dr. Anatelli is also passionate about providing leadership, community service, and education to the next generation of dermatologists and dermatopathologists. Dr. Anatelli is frequently called upon to present at local and national dermatology and dermatopathology conferences and is a recurring guest lecturer at the Georgetown University Hospital/Washington Hospital Center Dermatology Residency program. She has also been a guest speaker and a member of the planning committee for the 2013 Atlantic Dermatological Conference in Washington DC. She currently serves as the social chair for the Washington DC Dermatological Society.
Dr. Anatelli join the Arizona division of U.S. Dermatology Partners. As a fellowship trained dermatopathologist, Dr. Anatelli specializes in diagnosing disorders of the skin under a microscope and includes cases such as melanoma and other skin disorders. She will work out of the Southwest Skin Specialists lab in Phoenix, Arizona.
