International College Counselors Announces Appointment of Kerri Medina as Director of College Counseling
Miami, Florida (PRWEB) July 09, 2013 -- International College Counselors announced today the appointment of Kerri Medina to the position of Director of College Counseling. In her new role, Medina will oversee International College Counselors’ operations in Miami – including Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Key Biscayne, South Miami, Kendall, West Kendall, Palmetto Bay, Cuttler Bay, Pinecrest, Homestead, Doral, Unincorporated Dade and South Miami – and will work one-on-one with graduate and undergraduate students, advising them and guiding them through the college admission process.
In addition to providing college advising services throughout Miami Dade County, Medina will provide advice and guidance to international students through the college admission process, if the students wish to attend a school in the United States.
Prior to joining International College Counselors, Medina worked for Miami Dade County Public schools for 11 years. Most recently she served as the program coordinator overseeing The Women of Tomorrow Mentor and Scholarship Program in 54 public high schools. Medina also served as College Assistance Program (CAP) Advisor with Miami Dade County Public Schools for nine years where her responsibilities included helping students fulfill their postsecondary dreams by assisting them with college selection, college admissions essay writing, high school planning, interview preparation, scholarship help and more. Furthermore, Medina worked as an Admissions Counselor at Trinity International University specializing in admissions recruitment, counseling, outreach and application review.

Medina is certified by the state of Florida to teach English Grades 6-12, speaks Spanish fluently and is ESOL endorsed. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Organizational Leadership from Trinity International University.
