Florida Reading & Vision Technology Center in Fort Lauderdale Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary
Fort Lauderdale, Florida (PRWEB) July 23, 2013 -- The Florida Reading and Vision Technology Center, located at 650 N. Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale FL 33311, is offering a 10% discount on all in-store products through August 31, 2013. The discount comes as the Center celebrates its 10-year anniversary in Ft. Lauderdale.
E-commerce leader, Florida Reading and Vision Technology Inc. opened their flagship store in Fort Lauderdale in 2003 and formed an alliance with Lighthouse of Broward in 2008. From big button phones and keyboards to reading machines, magnifiers, talking watches and clocks, the Florida Reading and Vision Technology Center offers hundreds of products that help those who suffer from Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy and other retina diseases live a more comfortable, convenient and independent life.
“Connecting with our community is at the core of our business,” states Lesa Kretschmer, President of Florida Reading and Vision Technology Inc. “And what better way to do that than to have a physical store where our consumers can come in and sample our products.”
The Florida Reading and Vision Technology Center is one of approximately 30 stores of its kind nation-wide that caters to the blind and visually impaired population. “We first entered the market in 2000 as an online retailer,” states Kretschmer. “However, we quickly realized that the senior population we serve was much more receptive to a brick and mortar marketplace.”
Today, the Florida Reading and Vision Technology Center has been coined as the local “low vision products toy store” in the greater Ft. Lauderdale area. “The Center really provides an opportunity for our South Florida clients to experience the technology and the products before they buy them,” states Kretschmer.
As a direct result of the Florida Reading and Vision Technology Center’s success in Ft. Lauderdale, a second location is planned to open in Palm Beach County later this year. To contact the Ft.
