Dallas, TX (PRWEB) July 08, 2014 -- There are countless great communities in which to live in the North Texas region, each that offer a high-quality lifestyle. Prudential Texas Properties reports the suburb has been named for the third consecutive year as one of Dallas’ best suburbs.
D Magazine ranked Flower Mound No. 8 on its bi-annual list of the region’s best places to live, which was released in its July issue. Given an ambience score of 85, Flower Mound is known for its incredible education system, friendly community and burgeoning economy.
“Flower Mound is a unique area of Dallas that has experienced such acknowledgement for its community over the years, but it has yet to outprice buyers who are looking to relocate to the area,” says DD Flynn VP of Marketing at Prudential Texas Properties. “It’s located in a perfect spot for home buyers who want to be within arm’s reach of both Fort Worth and Dallas while still being close to nature.”
Flower Mound followed communities such as Highland Park, Parker, Colleyville and Southlake on D Magazine’s list, and it remained in the same spot it was at in 2012.
The real estate market in Flower Mound is an indicator of the ideal living conditions, according to statistics from Altos Research, a California-based real estate analytics company. Altos uses a unique figure called the Market Action Index that measures housing conditions based on a scale that uses 30 as the neutral value to determine if buyers or sellers are in favor.
The most recent index was marked at 44.92, noting strong demand for homes in the area and a favoritism toward sellers. These conditions are based on the fact that while more homes are coming onto the market as of late, the average time they are spending as active listings is falling.
