Flux Job Scheduler Takes Workload Automation to the Next Level with Latest Release
BOULDER, Colo. (PRWEB) October 02, 2018 -- Flux, a leading job-scheduler, batch processor and file transfer platform, announced today the release of a major update to the current version of their flagship workload automation technology. This update contains several new features, user interface improvements and performance/stability enhancements, including:
- New file server test dialog to test server connectivity for file transfers to FTP, SFTP, FTPS, UNC and local file systems
- Upload, create and download PGP keys for encrypted file transfers
- Upload and download business calendars
- File action that will read a text file from a remote source and place its context into Flux terms for use later in the workflow
- Agent failover capability so that if a Flux agent loses connectivity to its engine, the agent will failover and report its results to another engine within the Flux cluster
- Over 70 demonstration workflows, all predefined with Flux runtime variables to facilitate configuration and deployment
- Editors for Flux’s runtime and engine configuration settings in the user interface, which includes automatically creating backups of these files every time a change is made
- Reschedule workflows (i.e., change when they will next fire) already on the Flux engine
- Reprioritize workflows (i.e., change the order when will next fire) already on the Flux engine
- Support for changing the navigation bar background color of the Flux user interface based on whether you are signed on to a test, development or production environment
- Embed a standard set of reports and an associated workflow to track Flux runs, failed runs, audit history, workflow timings and file transfer activity
“Our customers know they have many options when it comes to choosing a workload automation solution to manage their company’s mission-critical data,” said Ron Schultz, COO of Flux. “What sets Flux apart from the competition is our ability to seamlessly incorporate industry trends and customer feedback into new features and improvements, which creates additional efficiencies for Flux users worldwide.”
