The Grover Agency, a Virginia-based firm offering insurance and financial planning services to business owners and families in Fairfax County and throughout the greater DC area, is embarking on a charity effort with the goal of generating awareness and assistance for the Capital Area Food Bank.

Distributing more than 45 million pounds of food to over half a million individuals and families each year, Capital Area Food Bank is the largest organization in the Washington DC metropolitan region working to solve hunger and food challenge issues. CAFB also works to reverse the growing trends of obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension in many local families by focusing on fresh produce and foods low in sodium and sugar.

“Our mission is to end all food challenges in our community, one meal at a time, and we’re proud to be working with outstanding local organizations like the Capital Area Food Bank,” says Hui Mei Tai, the principal and acting director of the Grover Agency.

Hui Mei Tai and her team are working to publicize the Capital Area Food Bank charity initiative by reaching out across social media and email channels to garner support from local families, associates, and business owners. The Grover Agency is also planning a full length article detailing the goals of the charity drive which will be published in the firm’s online magazine “Our Hometown”: http://groveragency.com/magazines/.

The Grover Agency is one of the newest affiliates of the “Agents of Change” national charity support program. As part of their ongoing commitment to this program, Hui Mei Tai and her team plan to provide direct support to a new DC area charitable cause or nonprofit organization every sixty days.
