SureVest Insurance Group Inaugurates Raleigh Area Charity Drive in Support of BackPack Buddies Program for Low Income Children
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) October 27, 2017 -- SureVest Insurance Group, a privately owned firm offering financial planning assistance and insurance preparation services to communities across North Carolina, is initiating a state wide charity event benefitting the BackPack Buddies program for low income schoolchildren in the Raleigh area.
The Backpack Buddies Inter-Faith Food Shuttle program provides children from underprivileged families with an assortment of healthy, kid-friendly foods intended to provide nutrition over the weekend when school lunch and breakfast is unavailable. The program is managed by school officials independently, and food items are provided to qualifying students as needed.
“We need our local children to be nurtured so they can study and be successful,” says Chris Clark, the executive director and agency principal of SureVest Insurance Group.
In an ongoing effort to raise awareness of the growing problem of undernourishment in North Carolina schoolchildren, Clark and his team are connecting with educators and families throughout the Raleigh area over email and social media channels.
