Four Informative Videos Released by Attorneys with The McCann Law Group, LLP in November to Educate Consumers on Bankruptcy, Foreclosure and More
Jacksonville, Florida (PRWEB) November 11, 2013 -- The McCann Law Group, LLP released four educational videos in November on topics including deficiency judgments, judicial vs. non-judicial foreclosure, rebuilding credit after bankruptcy, and reaffirmation agreements. The firm released the informative videos to address popular questions presented to its attorneys during their free consultations with new clients.
After receiving a high volume of similar question types during free consultations with new clients, the McCann Law Group knew it wanted to create a way to easily communicate what can sometimes be complex answers to understand.
Four of the most popular questions the McCann Law Group hoped to address included:
- Can I rebuild my credit after bankruptcy?
- Should I sign a reaffirmation agreement?
- What is a deficiency judgment?
- What is the difference between a judicial and non-judicial foreclosure?
The first two questions were fielded by Jineane McMinn, a bankruptcy attorney with the McCann Law Group. McMinn describes in her first video how it is vital to be careful and smart with an individual’s credit immediately following bankruptcy.
In her video on bankruptcy and credit, she recommends individuals filing bankruptcy to make sure any debts discharged are reported as having a zero balance on their credit reports. Next, she suggests applying for a credit card with a small credit limit and paying off the balance in full every month.
The next two questions were fielded by Dana Dorrell, a compliance attorney with the McCann Law Group. Dorrell describes in her first video how a deficiency judgment is a court order that holds you personally liable for any remaining debt.
She goes on to describe how with respect to foreclosure, a deficiency judgment is the amount of money that is left on the loan after the foreclosure sale. In her next video, she explains the different characteristics of a judicial and non-judicial foreclosure.
As a consumer advocacy law firm, the McCann Law Group hopes by releasing these videos more consumers will be better prepared to deal with the bankruptcy and foreclosure process.
