United Financial Counselors Set to Host First Time Homebuyers Expo
Hollywood, FL (PRWEB) February 17, 2014 -- United Financial Counselors will host a First Time Homebuyers and Credit Restoration Expo on March 1 at the Deerfield Double Tree by Hilton Hotel at 100 Fairway Drive, Deerfield Beach, FL. This expo is primarily targeted towards renters who have the vision and the drive to become homeowners one day.
The expo on March 1 can change the lives of those who have wanted to buy a home, but did not have the income, credit or knowledge of how to become a homeowner. The goal of the event is to help renters become homeowners. These potential homeowners will be introduced to options that many did not know existed and will have the ability to obtain a free credit report that can be reviewed by a credit counselor. They can learn how to increase their credit scores to the high 600s and 700s.
United Financial Counselors’ incentive for hosting this event is the ability to provide education and resources that can turn a renter into a successful homeowner. Attending the expo will be mortgage brokers, loan originators, realtors, inspectors, representatives from Florida Power and Light, the Broward County Property Appraisers Office and many professionals in the real estate industry.
Seminars will run throughout the day and focus on topics such as credit restoration and home buying programs.
“As a first-time home buyer, there are criteria that you must meet in order to successfully purchase and secure a home. Unfortunately most think that they do not meet those guidelines, but that simply is not the case,” says Jason Walowitz, director of finance with United Financial Counselors. “There are amazing opportunities available and we want to provide the renters of Broward County the resources and knowledge to become homeowners.”
The First Time Homebuyers Expo is designed to make the home-buying experience as easy and stress-free as possible. Even if prospective buyers are not ready to take the next step due to credit or income-related issues, United Financial Counselors’ advisors will be available to set up a one-on-one appointment to guide this individual through the steps needed to prepare them in the future.
