John and Jennifer Croft are not your typical husband and wife. They spend their days helping Calgarians get out of debt.
“Now we’re part of the solution to help people get through this terrible time in their lives,” says John. “That suits us perfectly.”
Armed with a desire to see people's lives transform from despair to hope, John and Jennifer uprooted their family of 4 from BC and moved to Alberta in 2010 to own and operate their very first 4 Pillars franchise in the Northeast quadrant of Calgary. They now expanded their franchise territories to serve the entire city of Calgary and surrounding areas including Airdrie, Bragg Creek, Chestermere , Cochrane, High River, Langdon, Okotoks, and Strathmore.
“We have always worked in a self-employed capacity but were never comfortable with the idea of going it completely alone,” John admits. “We wanted a business model that we knew would work if we committed the time and effort. We’ve got a good grounding in the general management of a business and have pretty good business development skills, so we knew that if we could find the right franchise model, there would be no reason why we couldn’t succeed.”
Succeed they have. In the 4 years since they became 4 Pillars franchise owners, the Crofts have helped close to a thousand individuals and families free themselves from the grip of debt. And they’ve built a strong business for their own family in the process.
“We have a young family and have always worked extremely hard at everything we have done. But 4 Pillars franchise opportunities has given us a live/work balance we only dreamed of before. Our own family has benefited as we’ve helped other families.”
Clients have responded to the Crofts and their mix of compassion and effective debt relief program, with relief, gratitude, even better health.
“John not only reduced my debt, he reduced my blood pressure!” wrote Samuel O, of Strathmore. (To protect the privacy of the Crofts’ clients, only partial names are used.)
Dan H wrote: “Because of Jennifer, I am dealing with my debt at last. I am sleeping better, I am less stressed and I’m more knowledgeable about my financial options.”
“John and Jennifer are really down to earth people; the only intention is to help people like us to get out of debt,” writes D. Reyes “The help we got from them was so beyond what we were expecting and truly trustworthy and professional. We respect them so much. 'Thank you' is just not enough!”
With personal debt on the rise in Canada – in fact it now outstrips personal debt percentages in the US – the Crofts will be hard at work with their 4 Pillars franchise for the foreseeable future, helping people get educated about their options, and get free of the burden of debt.
