Robertson Insurance Associates celebrates the beginning of the latest charity campaign in an ongoing community involvement program serving the families of greater Gainesville, VA. The Epilepsy Foundation of Virginia provides a wide range of services and advocacy in support of local children and families affected by epilepsy. Donations to this valuable community resource are being accepted at: http://www.epilepsyva.com/donate/.

The Epilepsy Foundation of Virginia was established in 1978 to promote awareness and provide assistance to those living with epilepsy. Providing invaluable advocacy, among the services they provide to the community are public education programs for schools, radio and TV talk shows, and training sessions for all who are affected by epilepsy – families, friends, colleagues and healthcare professionals. They also offer assistance with epilepsy-related emergencies, help with transportation and even medication. The nonprofit organization’s outreach is expanding, and more services are on the horizon.

“The Epilepsy Foundation truly does provide hope for so many families,” stated Rick Robertson, owner of Robertson Insurance Associates. “One of our own staff members lives with epilepsy, so we’re thrilled to be able to raise funds and awareness, and hopefully help everyone in the community who is struggling with this disorder.”

The Robertson team is hard at work mobilizing support for the initiative among their network of professional and personal contacts, inviting people to actively participate not only contributing financially, but also by helping spread the word to others in their own circles of influence. The cause is also featured in the agency’s monthly magazine, which is delivered to thousands of households in northern Virginia. The electronic version of the current issue of Our Hometown magazine may be viewed at: http://www.robertsoninsuranceva.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_41. All those who donate a minimum of $5 will be acknowledged in a future issue of Our Hometown.

Committed to raising as much money as possible for area families affected by epilepsy, the agency itself has pledged to donate $10 for each and every referral they receive for an insurance quote, with no purchase necessary, making it simple for everyone to pitch in without impacting their pocketbook. Readers who wish to recommend friends and/or make personal donations may do so here.

Robertson Insurance Associates will continue to seek out new ways to support the local community, promising to unveil a new campaign every few months.
