Gary Thomas, author of “Try Again: Help is on the Way” and “New Birth Book of Discipline,” reflects on the uncertainties of life and offers comfort and support to readers trying to rebuild themselves with God’s help in his new book, “Life at Ground Zero” (published by WestBow Press).

“The book deals with issues of the 21st century and provides practical examples of people who have suffered loss and defeat and who have not dropped out of the race of life,” Thomas explains.

Using biblical narratives and his own experiences, Thomas comforts readers facing financial troubles, divorces or questions of faith and reminds them that God always gives his people a second chance.

About the Author
Dr. Gary A. Thomas is the senior pastor of the New Birth Pentecostal Church of God and a high school history teacher. He received training from the City University of New York, earning degrees in human services, anthropology, social studies and history. He is a graduate of New York Theological Seminary with a master’s of divinity and a doctorate in urban ministry. He has held adjunct appointments at Lehman College as a study skills consultant and anthropology lecturer. He received the instructor of the year award in 2001.
