C3 Solutions Releases its Self-Serve Gate Kiosk
(PRWEB) May 29, 2015 -- C3 Solutions, a provider of software solutions dedicated to the area yard management and dock scheduling, announces the release of its Go Kiosk, a self-serve driver check-in/out kiosk system that works in conjunction with C3’s dock scheduling solution - C3 Reservations. C3’s Go Kiosk allows truck drivers, with valid appointments, to enter and exit secured facilities without the assistance of on-site security staff. Other key features include:
- Control driver check-in with appointment number and capture driver and load information.
- Manage multiple sites and remote depots.
- Provide 24/7 access electronically.
This touch screen can be connected with an automatic barrier gate in order to control access in and out of the site. It is an integral part of C3 Reservations and thus records automatically the arrival and departure times.
This new gate check-in screen was first developed for clients in the grocery industry. The main objective, upon arrival at the gate, was to replace a paper form that was being used to capture data about the driver and load, including important security questions. The data, now retained within C3 Reservations, can be easily audited and reported.
Other objectives include:
- Decreasing the driver waiting time upon check-in at the gate.
- Eliminating the need to have a gate guard in the kiosk 24/7.
- Managing remote depots that are unmanned but guarded by automatic barrier gates.
