St. Louis Personal Injury Law Firm Growe Eisen Karlen Partner Michelle Spirn Appointed to Missouri's Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel
St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) April 29, 2014 -- Growe Eisen Karlen, a personal injury law firm firm, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Michelle Spirn, one of its partners, to the Office of the Chief Disciplinary Counsel. Ms. Spirn was chosen for this position by the Missouri Supreme Court. Following a career of integrity and dedication to the law as a partner with Growe Eisen Karlen, Ms. Spirn is set to begin her four-year term on the OCDC's Region X Disciplinary Committee.
The OCDC is an agency of the Supreme Court charged with investigating complaints of misconduct by lawyers, prosecuting cases where an attorney's conduct is found to be a threat to the public good or to the integrity of the legal profession as a whole, and maintaining the records pertaining to these proceedings as they apply to legal professionals licensed to practice within Missouri.
By taking on the four-year post with the OCDC's Region X arm, Ms. Spirn will be responsible for hearing cases against lawyers in St. Louis County. By entering the legal profession in the great state of Missouri, lawyers obligate themselves to uphold the ethical standards of the Rules of Professional Conduct governing members of the Missouri Bar Association, and they further swear to uphold the laws of the state.
By serving on the Region X Disciplinary Committee, Michelle Spirn can protect both the public and the legal administration from attorneys who have failed to properly uphold their duties. Ms. Spirn and the entire Growe Eisen Karlen team are honored by this new appointment.
