Gary Growe Recently Gave Deposition Wisdom at Missouri Bar CLE
St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) September 09, 2014 -- Senior Partner Gary Growe was one of the Missouri Bar CLE speakers at the August 15th seminar on "The Basics of Taking and Defending Effective Depositions," taking place at the Sheraton Clayton Plaza.
The seminar was offered as a unique opportunity for attorneys and lawyers in the area with little to no experience in taking depositions to better learn how to delve into specific client issues that may cause road blocks when preparing for, taking, or defending a client.
"Events like these are great for newly licensed attorneys and veteran lawyers alike to hone and sharpen their deposition skills," said Growe Eisen Karlen partner, Jason Charpentier.
The majority of attendees are litigation specialists, like Growe, and other licensed attorneys. Legal students also attend these talks, and the events are open to those interested in further educating themselves about various legal strategies.
Some of the topics explored in the seminar include: the tactics used for preparing one's witness for the defendant's questions; when and how to object to prying questions; and how to instruct a witness to not answer specific questions.
Each year in the United States, millions of people are injured and require hospitalization. Many of these injuries are caused by the carelessness of others and could have been prevented.
Winning a personal injury lawsuit can often result in compensation for lost wages, physical and psychological pain and suffering, loss of quality of life, and medical costs. The Growe Eisen Karlen team works with hundreds of clients who find their lives turned upside down due to the negligence of others, and fights for their right to receive fair compensation.
Video replays of the conference can be seen on October 16, 2014 at Missouri Southern State University, October 23, 2014 at Drury Lodge, and on October 30, 2014 at The Missouri Bar.
The founding of Growe Eisen Karlen in 2009 brought together experienced trial lawyers, recognized for their passion and skill in representing clients in complex civil litigation. The firm features attorneys with a unique blend of abilities in all areas of civil litigation and trial work. The firm is also widely respected for the depth of its family law practice, led by senior partners Richard Eisen and Chris Karlen, where eight lawyers devote full time to serving clients in this area.
