Get in Gear and Go to The 2019 DFW Auto Show at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center!
DALLAS (PRWEB) March 21, 2019 -- The 2019 DFW Auto Show, sponsored by Belo Media Group and Cars.com, invites auto enthusiasts to “get in gear and go” to the 38th annual auto extravaganza at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Don Herring, Jr., Show chairman, predicted it will be an exciting event with vehicles that even the most serious autophile may have never seen!
“With many 2020 vehicle unveilings happening in Detroit and Chicago already this year, some of these cars and trucks will make their way toward Dallas to take center stage in their respective manufacturers’ displays. It is always fun to see what they have in store for the future,” Herring said.
A variety of 2020 models will be showcased this year including: Chevrolet Silverado HD; Ford Explorer, Mustang Shelby GT500 and Super Duty; Jeep Gladiator; Kia Soul and Telluride; Land Rover RR Evoque; Lexus RC F – Track Edition; Lincoln Aviator; Mercedes-Benz GLE350 and GLS450; Porsche 911 Carrera S; and Volkswagen Passat. In addition, Toyota will present the Texas debuts of the TRD Pro Sequoia, Supra and Tacoma TRD Off Road, and Lexus will present the US debut of the 2019 Lexus IS Special Edition Black Line. There also will be dozens of all-new or totally redesigned 2019s featured as well, including: Audi e-tron, Chevrolet Blazer, Hyundai Kona, Genesis G70, Honda Passport; Infiniti QX50; Lincoln Nautilus; Nissan Maxima, Porsche Macan, Ram Heavy Duty and Subaru Ascent.
The High End area will surely excite visitors with stunning vehicles from Aston Martin, Bentley, Lamborghini, Maserati, McLaren and Rolls-Royce.
Thirteen manufacturers, including Acura, Chevrolet, FCA (Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep and Ram), Ford, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Toyota and Volkswagen, will surround the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, with opportunities to test drive a myriad cars, trucks and SUVs.
“The DFW Auto Show is a full experiential event. Product specialists are available inside the Show to discuss all the bells and whistles of their vehicles and, outside, Show attendees can get assistance on their car-buying decisions by taking a test drive through the streets of downtown Dallas. And to be able to choose from approximately 75 different vehicles in one area is quite remarkable,” Herring said.
The Progressive International Motorcycle Shows is bringing its Discover The Ride program to the DFW Auto Show – giving attendees the chance to experience the thrill of 2-wheels and take their first step to becoming a motorcyclist. This immersive program includes a New Rider Course that gives attendees, 16 years and older, a chance to ride an electric Zero motorcycle, that is modified for a new rider, with the guidance of a certified trainer. Kids, 3 years to 75 pounds, can also get a feel for 2-wheels in the Kids Zone on Stacyc electric balance bikes. Vintage bikes, custom bikes, and more. will also be on display to give attendees a comprehensive view into the world of motorcycling.
“After the overwhelming success we saw from incorporating Discover the Ride in the 2018/2019 Progressive International Motorcycle Shows tour, we’re thrilled to bring the program to the DFW Auto Show, reaching an even wider audience of auto enthusiasts,” said Tracy Harris, Senior Vice President, Powersports, UBM. “The DFW Auto Show is a natural extension for Discover the Ride, branching out from a motorcycle-specific audience and helping more people experience what it is like to ride on two wheels. We are truly excited to continue the momentum we’ve built throughout the tour.”
The CBS 11 Classic Car Corral will return this year as well. David Hershey, CBS 11 vice president of Creative Services, said that show guests will get to see beautiful examples of automotive style, innovation and power from nearly every decade.
“This year, we will celebrate the evolution of the Ford Mustang, Mercury Cougar and Chevy Corvette. And, if Pontiac is more your style, stop by and see a replica of the 1977 black Trans AM Burt Reynolds drove in the movie ‘Smokey and the Bandit,” Hershey said.
In addition, the Aftermarket Area will feature a variety of products and services for the car and home, and the Community Service area in D/E Hall Lobby will spotlight such worthwhile organizations as Straydog, Inc., the Dallas Police Department’s Safelight Program and the Girls Scouts who will sell their cookies.
